eSIM Crypto Payment
A walkthrough of exactly what happens between clicking pay and having a working data profile — including the failure cases most providers don't document.
Crypto payment questions
How many confirmations do you require?+
One for most chains, and Lightning is treated as final on settlement. The exact requirement per asset is shown on the invoice page.
What if the invoice expires while I'm paying?+
Funds that arrive after expiry are still credited — the order is held for manual reconciliation and we email you at the address on the order.
Do you email a receipt?+
Yes. The delivery email includes the plan, the amount paid, the order reference and your tracking code.
Can I pay part in crypto and part by card?+
No. Each order settles on one rail. Split an order across two purchases if you need to mix.
How are refunds paid out?+
In the same asset, to an address you provide by email. We don't hold balances or issue store credit.
The payment lifecycle
Checkout creates an invoice with an amount in your chosen asset, a destination address, and an expiry. Your wallet broadcasts; the processor watches for the required confirmations and webhooks us the result.
We re-derive the correct USD price server-side from the package record before provisioning, so a tampered client can't buy a $60 plan for $6. Only after that check passes does the carrier API get called.
When payments go wrong
Late payment: if the invoice expired but the funds arrived, the order is held and reconciled manually — you'll get an email rather than silence. Underpayment: we hold the order and offer a top-up or a refund.
Overpayment: the plan is provisioned and the difference refunded to an address you nominate. Wrong network: mail support@cryptoesim.io with the hash and we'll tell you straight whether recovery is possible.
Live rate lock
The quote is fixed for the payment window shown on the invoice.
Server-side pricing
Amounts are verified against our catalogue, never trusted from the browser.
Auto-provisioning
Confirmation webhook triggers issuance without human involvement.
Documented failures
Underpaid, late and wrong-network payments all have a defined path.
