What Is the iOS Quick Install Feature?
In iOS 17.4, Apple introduced the Universal Link for eSIM installation. Instead of opening your camera and scanning a QR code, you simply tap a link and are taken directly to the eSIM installation screen. Faster, simpler — especially useful when setting up mid-travel.
Requirements
- iPhone running iOS 17.4 or later (check: Settings → General → About → Software Version)
- The install link in your CryptoeSIM confirmation email
- WiFi connection during installation
How to Install Using the Quick Install Link
- Open your CryptoeSIM confirmation email on your iPhone
- Tap the Quick Install link — it opens Settings directly
- Tap Continue to confirm
- Give your eSIM a label (e.g., "Travel")
- After installation: Settings → Cellular → tap eSIM → Data Roaming ON
What If I Don't See a Quick Install Link?
Use the QR code method — follow our standard installation guide. Or contact support with your order number to generate a link.
Not on iOS 17.4?
Update via Settings → General → Software Update, or use the QR code method. QR scanning works on all eSIM-capable iOS versions (iOS 12.1+).
