What is Data Roaming?
Data Roaming controls whether your device uses mobile data while connected to a foreign network. Your phone defaults to having it off to protect you from unexpected charges on your home plan — but travel eSIMs only work when roaming is enabled. Without it, your eSIM will show signal but have no internet.
Does Data Roaming Cost Extra?
With a CryptoeSIM travel plan, no. Your eSIM plan already includes data for the destination country — enabling Data Roaming simply allows your phone to use it. The only risk is on your home SIM, so keep Data Roaming OFF for your home SIM and ON only for your travel eSIM.
